Protector bootie

Description

These dog booties are made from level 5 anti-cut material, dipped in nitrile rubber for extra protection. The rubber makes the socks water-resistant and provides your dog with a good grip even on slippery surfaces.

We developed Protector bootie for Running and hiking, but all dogs that need paw protection can use these socks.

Towards the dog, the fabric is seamless to avoid chafing. The soft materials allow the paws to have good contact with the surface. The socks are fastened with elastic velcro, which makes them sit well on the paw.

Protector bootie comes in packs of four.

How do I find the right size?
Measure the width of your dog’s paw at the widest point with a measuring band, or by placing the paw on a piece of paper, mark the widest points and then measure. When wearing dog socks, your dog should have enough room for the paw and toes to expand and move naturally.   These booties are elastic. If your dog is in between two sizes, we recommend you to size down. The hind paws are often smaller than the front paws, so we recommend you measure both and choose the bigger size if buying one set only.
What does cut level 4 and ground feeling 4 mean?
These dog socks are rated to cut level 4 out if 5, meaning they offer high levels of cut resistance. Ground feeling is rated to 4 out of 5, meaning the booties offer high levels of flexibility and ground feel.
How do I put on dog socks?
When putting socks on your dog, stand over your dog with your dog between your legs, and lift one paw at a time. This position allows you to maintain control while helping your dog balance when lifting each paw. If your dog is not comfortable with this position, you can sit next to them and lift one paw at a time.Guide the sock over your dog’s paw and attach the hook and loop fasteners, ensuring they sit over or under the joints.Ensure that the hook and loop fasteners are tightened well. For short training sessions lasting a maximum of two hours, the socks should fit snugly. However, for long-distance mushing or trekking lasting many hours, avoid tightening the socks too much to prevent swelling. We recommend securing the sock in place with one finger and then tightening the strap over your finger. This ensures it does not become too tight. When taking a longer break or finishing your training, remove the socks.
How long do dog socks last?
Dog socks will naturally experience wear and tear, and their lifespan is influenced by factors such as the type of surface, the length of your dog’s nails, and the quality of the material used. Generally, it is important to have realistic expectations regarding the longevity of dog socks. To extend the lifespan of your dog’s socks, a helpful tip is to turn them around halfway through your training session. This is especially beneficial when training on rough surfaces, as it can prevent holes from forming under your dog’s paws. Even if there is a small hole on the upper side of the socks, it is not a significant issue. By employing this trick, you can effectively double the distance you can use the socks before needing to replace them.
How many socks are included when I buy a set?
The socks come in packs of four.
