Keeping your dog clean and dry with full-coverage apparel while making no compromises on a good fit, comfort, and mobility can be a difficult task.

Inspired by feedback from our community, we assessed these challenges and designed the Fjord overall raincoat to entirely protect your dog from mud and rain without sacrificing its freedom of movement.

Using our Freemotion tech™, each front leg and armpit area is made of five panels to let your dog take full strides while running and playing. The full suit combines a four-way stretch fabric with multiple panels to provide the extensive range of motion your dog needs to feel free.

The polyester shell is wind- and waterproof, with a 13,000 mm water column.

Achieving a snug fit without bulkiness, the Fjord overall raincoat is highly adjustable with its six adjustment points, making it the ideal choice for all dog shapes. The chest, armpits, and waist are adjusted with three soft cord locks placed inside the coat. Three external cinch cords allow tailoring of the head, neck, and tail for a perfect fit.

The soft, seamless cuffs end with an elastic line to easily slip your dog’s paws through.

Available in sizes from 30 to 70, even small dogs can use it as full protection in the snow.

The Fjord overall raincoat comes in black/orange.

How to find the right size?

Measure the length of your dog’s back from between the shoulder blades to the base of their tail. Input the number into the size finder on the product page for a size recommendation. If you are unsure how to measure, watch the video posted next to our size-finder tool. If your dog is between sizes, we recommend choosing the bigger size for small/medium dogs (up to 55 cm back length), and the smaller size for larger dogs.

How do I put on and adjust the Fjord overall raincoat?

The Fjord overall raincoat is designed for a slim fit. All adjustments should be made snugly while allowing full motion.

Start by putting your dog’s head through the neck opening. Slide the front legs through the sleeves, then the back legs.
Adjust the two armpit cord locks on each side of the inner coat to your preference.
Close the full zipper halfway and adjust the waist cord lock.
Close the zipper entirely and adjust the head, neck, and back adjustment for your dog.

If your dog is not comfortable with apparel at first, slowly introduce the Fjord overall raincoat with rewards like treats and toys.

Can I use the Fjord overall raincoat as protection for snow?

Yes, the Fjord overall raincoat can be used in the snow, especially for small dogs. Be aware that in deep snow, the abdomen opening may let snow in. For more efficient coverage in snow, we recommend the Protector snow.

Can I use the Fjord overall raincoat for my allergic dog or as protection against ticks?

Yes, this full-coverage dog coat will help protect your dog’s skin against potential allergens and reduce the contact surface with ticks.

How warm is the Fjord overall raincoat?

The Fjord overall raincoat protects your dog against the elements but does not provide much warmth. For additional warmth, along with protection against snow and ice, you can add a dog jacket, such as the Glacier jacket 2.0, under the suit. In this case, we recommend choosing a size up. External temperature, your dog’s breed, coat, weight, health, and age are factors that affect how warm the Fjord overall raincoat feels for your dog. The Fjord overall raincoat is rated at 15,000 g/m2/hr breathability, and airflow is ensured through the opening between the hind legs. On hot and humid days, always look out for signs of overheating and prefer a lighter rain jacket, like the Fjord raincoat.

Can it be used with dog booties?

Yes, the Fjord overall raincoat can be combined with dog booties for complete coverage. Regular dog booties will fit dogs with small and regular legs, while high booties can be used for long-legged dogs. Visit our bootie guide to find the right ones for your dog.
